KidStrong 2013 Autumn Eye Checkup for Migrant Children

Oct.25.2013

It’s time for our fall semester eye checkups for migrant school children! From late September to mid-October, KidStrong staff worked together with doctors from Ren’Ai Hospital to provide comprehensive eye check-ups for third and fifth graders at four partner migrant elementary school for free. The schools took eye screenings in advance.

As a result, 273 students, from Limin School, Jinde School, Changlin School (Pudong district) and Maqiao School (Minhang district), received professional computer optometry and precise optic examination. Following treatment, the doctors chose suitable frames for these children.

After finishing all the examinations this week (October 24th was the last day), doctors will prescribe eyeglasses for those who need vision correction. These eyeglasses will be delivered to the students in need in late November.
