Shanghai Beihong High School is a hundred-year historical school, the school is located in river bank of Huangpu River, and nearby Waibaidu Bridge. The atmosphere of school is very peaceful and nice. The predecessor of the school is a Christian Church School which was set up by French Catholicism named St. Francis Xavier’s College. From the year of 1952, the school was changed to be a public school and named Shanghai Beihong Middle School. In the year of 1978, the school was listed as Key School in Hongkou District. From June of the year of 2003, the name of school was changed as Shanghai Beihong Senior high School.
