Zhejiang Roots&Shoots Program
——Green Zhejiang
The “Green Zhejiang” Environmental Association is one of the top 100 National Volunteer Service Groups established in 2000. The association focuses on studying environmental trends of various nongovernmental organizations’ activities, constructing the communications platform among regional environmental protection associations, and promoting research and NGO involvement to the public.
Hangzhou Ecology Cultural Association aims to advance citizens’ research in ecological culture theory and application of environmental protection. Such applications include initiating in green and low-carbon emission lifestyles, promoting ecological culture, fostering eco-ethics, and developing the coexistence between humans and environment.
Zhejiang R&S Program partnered with JSI-R&S Shanghai to organize activities and teach other R&S groups about recycling, energy conservation, animal protection, green map, green Olympics, etc. The program plays an active role in raise environmental awareness among the youth in China.
