Volunteers from Shanghai United Family Hospital delivered dental care classes to the fifth graders of Maqiao Migrant School in late March. The classes were designed to improve the children’s awareness of good oral hygiene habits, and were delivered in simple terms with photos, quizzes and demonstrations on a dental model. Brushing and flossing were the highlights.

At the end of the session, volunteers from the British Women’s Club gave each child a toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss to encourage them to maintain these healthy habits.
