Collaboration for the Earth: Adopt A School Organic Garden in Sanquan Road Primary School

With joy and laughter, on April 26, 2024, Sanquan Road Primary School held a lively ‘organic garden’ class with volunteers from Disney in Shanghai. 

Disney China adopted the organic garden at Sanquan Road Primary School through Shanghai Roots & Shoots during Earth Month (April) in 2024. On April 26th, 30+ students were divided into three groups, and together with Disney VoluntEARs, they built two square vegetable gardens and one square flower garden, successfully expanding the campus’ organic garden. Under the guidance of R&S staff and trained volunteers, the students engaged in gardening tasks such as filling soil, fertilizing, cultivating, and transplanting. Through utilizing knowledge and skills of organic planting, students fostered their collaboration skills and experienced the joy of gardening.

Finally, the students took a group photo to commemorate this joyful moment of “collaboration for the Earth.”
