YES | MENTOR TRAINING REVIEW – AUTUMN 2019

Shanghai Roots & Shoots’ YES Program will relaunch along with the new semester in September, providing pro-bono environmental education courses to primary and secondary schools.

On August 24, 15 new volunteers joined the YES Program and received a full training, which included the introduction to Shanghai Roots & Shoots, volunteer ice breaking, teaching skills, the introduction to the curriculum and teaching practices.

The participants expressed their joy of becoming a member of YES mentors and their concerns in deliverability. However, after a whole day resourceful training, they not only enhanced their knowledge in environmental protection, but also increased their confidence in teaching and their communication  skills that would benefit them in both volunteer job and personal life.

All volunteers are so looking forward to sharing the knowledge to younger generations, as well as contributing to sustain our beautiful planet.
