YES Program March Training in Xi’an

As YES program becomes more and more mature and widespread in China, on March 9, 2013, Shanghai Roots and Shoots – YES Program team went to Xi’an, and provided more than 30 volunteers from Architecture Labor University of Shaanxi Province, Northwest University, Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Northwestern Polytechnical University with one-day training.

During the training, ice-breaking, teaching techniques impartation, simulated courses, brainstorm, etc. are some sections pertaining to participatory education that really attracted the trainers. A logo design course, which involves merely adding another few lines on a circle to change into another object, greatly helped the learners to further develop their creativity; in the brainstorm section, the learners were divided into several groups and discussed about what they had learnt that day.

YES Program aims to offer teenagers environmental education, and spread the concept of green life. Thank you to all sponsors!
