2022 Biodiversity Day: Building a Shared Future for All Life

The Biodiversity Day 2022 slogan is “Building a shared future for all life”. The slogan was chosen to continue building momentum and support for the post-2020 global biodiversity framework to be adopted at the upcoming UN Biodiversity Conference #COP15.

According to the officially adopted definition by the Convention on Biological Diversity, “Biological diversity (Biodiversity)” means the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part: this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems.
In other words, biodiversity is the part of nature that is alive, and includes every living thing on Earth.
