KidStrong丨2017 Summer Camp – Experiencing Shanghai
Jun.16.2017
Kidstrong recently held a two-day summer camp for 21 underprivileged students of five partner migrant schools.
Starting June 3, students were treated to museums, movies, tours and a pottery lesson. On June 4, they also visited Shanghai Disney Land.
The first day was spent at Shanghai Nature Museum and a pottery studio. Guides at the museum delighted the children with exploring origin of life and evolution of natural ecology. After lunch, the students watched 4D movie “Dive with Ocean Dragon”, followed by a trip to the ceramic painting studio and created their own pottery works.
The second day was spent at Shanghai Disney Land. The students were very excited and played as many games as they could in the park.
On the camp, KidStrong also arranged various types of food for the students like typical Shanghai style meal and breakfast, Vital Tea western meat roll, and foods at Disney Land. So, the students could not only experience Shanghai’s sceneries but also Shanghai’s food.
Judging by the amount of laughter over the two days, the children really enjoyed the camp, and will surely take away great memories of the adventure.
