Focusing on SDGs, students toured the manufacturing facilities, and were also exposed to ESG strategies and practices from different perspectives.

Phase I: Field Visit

On November 23, the launch ceremony for the training was held at Kraft Heinz’ Shanghai Factory. The managers served as lecturers, sharing their ESG policies and helping the students understand what ESG is and what Kraft Heinz has done in protecting environment. They also took the student groups on a guided tour around the facilities, showing them how every individual can make a positive impact.

Phase II: ESG Practices Sharing

The management team introduced the Group’s efforts in energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as in sustainability and net zero goals, such as heat recovery, biomass fuel, lighting and water saving systems in various factories, etc. They also explained what responsible supply chains should do, from raw material procurement, to manufacturing process and final product design and delivery. The students also had a chance to improve their project management skills by learning and practicing on their own, under the guidance of the experts.
