2013 innisfree Green China—Green Handkerchief
innisfree, the NO.1 brand for natural product in South Korea, has always been committed to becoming an environmental brand. From getting its raw materials from the nature, to using environmental packaging and stores, innisfree is protecting the Earth through many details.
Since the company expanded to China last year, innisfree also brought its environmental concepts and ideas here. innisfree started an activity that featured a limited edition of environmental handkerchief in China and Korea. This June, innisfree, with its creativity and a heart for charity, worked with Shanghai Roots and Shoots again. This year Korean actor Lee Min-ho and Chinese artist Gong Chun each have joined us in designing a special handkerchief.
Here they are: two handkerchiefs, two good will.
REBORN
“The cut trees signify the dire situation in Inner Mongolia, but from them grows more and more leaves. Let us all use environmental handkerchiefs! Our little actions can make a difference in preventing the cutting down of trees and returning some greenness to the world!”
— Lee Min-ho, Korean actor and spokesperson for innisfree
CHANGE
“From deserts to green, and the commonly seen cats, birds, and little girls, such changes can happen with our little acts. Use more handkerchiefs to reduce paper usage, protect the trees, and change the environment. Let’s begin with ourselves.”
— Gong Chun, Chinese artist
Along with the handkerchiefs, innisfree also featured their limited edition “The Green Tea Essential Seed Serum”. The designs by Lee Min-ho and Gong Chun are featured on their bottles. Cooperating with Shanghai Roots and Shoot Million Tree Project, for each bottle of the serum sold, 25 RMB will be donated to the Million Tree Project to plant a tree to reduce the carbon emissions and prevent desertification, and innisfree will give out a handkerchief for free, to encourage the use of handkerchiefs and discouraging the use of paper towels and napkins. The logo of Million Tree Project (MTP) is also featured on the bottle of the serum.
