Stronger Kids, Brighter Future

Givaudan has been supporting KidStrong program for three years. In the three years, Givaudan initiated various projects such as Eye Care and Classroom Lighting, to help migrant children grow healthily in one of KidStrong partner schools – Jinde Migrant School. On February 19^th, 2014, Givaudan partners with Pudong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (Pudong CIQ) gave health lesson to Jinde School students on food safety. They also presented hygiene kits and books to the students.

On the event day, 3 volunteers from Pudong CIQ delivered a food safety class to 30 students at Jinde Migrant School, introducing typical food and dishes from all over the world, helping them understand what kind of food is healthy and teaching them how to recognize the shelf life of packaged food and drinks. After the class Givaudan staff and CIQ also distributed personal hygiene kits for the students.

This is the first time that KidStrong succeeded in engaging the authorities like Pudong CIQ in the program. Givaudan and Pudong CIQ will make a long-term commitment and contribution to community with KidStrong program in the future.
