Gifts from Verdura

Oct.15.2014

In 2013, Alex and Beat founded Verdura Farm. Their aim is to apply organic methods to cultivating mini-vegetables.

The farm is located in Fengxian, Shanghai, covering an area of 20 mu. What brings these five members from five different countries together is their same love for the environment.

While these young people are pursuing their dreams, they care about our Roots & Shoots Organic Garden Program as well. During the fall semester 2014, they have provided their carefully cultivated mini-vegetable shoots for our program. A total of 50 shoots were taken in an instant while the white radish, purple radish and Chinese broccoli are among the favorite.

We hope these shoots may grow stronger along with students.

Special thanks for the great support from Verdura!
