This forum focused on environmental education. In the two-day meeting, Chinese and Japanese experts, scholars, and representatives from NGOs had a heated discussion on how to promote environmental education more efficiently in local areas. Experts from Tsinghua University, Beijing Forestry University, and Gakushuin University made a report on the current situation of environmental education in China and Japan. Representatives from Panasonic China and Sony China introduced related activities launched by the two companies in China. Representatives from NGOs in the two countries discussed concerning problems, such as widening communication channels and initiating more forms and levels of communicational activities. Representatives of Shanghai R&S also introduced to all parties the current activities and achievements of Shanghai R&S, which drew keen interest. We hope that this forum is a chance for us to start partnerships with more organizations and initiate more meaningful and rewarding activities.
