H001 Shanghai NO.3 Girls’ High School

Jun.26.2015

School Environmental Protection Committee of Shanghai No.3 Girls High School was established in 2001. The aim of the Committee involved but not limited to, raising the environmental awareness of students, disseminating cutting-edge technology for environmental protection and enhancing students’ ability of scientific researches. Any student in our school who interests in environmental activities is welcomed to join the committee. Generally, students sign up for a membership in the tenth grade and have an opportunity to compete for presidency during the transition from tenth grade to eleventh grade. For preparing the college entrance examination, the presidency will be passed from a twelfth student to the next. The number of stable members in Environmental Committee is around 25. Activities organized by our committee from 2010 to 2011 include the measurement of Electromagnetic Pollution and the publicity of Related Knowledge, 2010 International Youth Green Power on Yangtze River Water program, charity bazaar for ’Million Tree Project’ and so on. Through participating in these activities, students not only broaden their knowledge of environmental protection, but also improve their hands-on ability, interpersonal skills and leadership. This is one of the reasons why the committee is popular among students in school. Although members in our committee are continuously improving ourselves and the activities, we do have minor defects. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in our committee or have recommendation on our ideas or plans. We still hold the opinion that committee is a place for our students communicating with each other and a place for trying our best to the society as a student.
