EVENT DETAILS:
Objective: Fundraising for the Million Tree Project
Million Tree Project Goals: The project was established in 2007 and is committed to: raising public awareness for environmental protection, and promoting individuals to participate in this action. This is in hopes to reduce negative effects on the natural environment.
Form: purchase saplings and win a goody bag. Each purchase of a sapling becomes a donation for the MTP and will be entrusted to Roots & Shoots to plant the sapling in areas of desertification in China. All trees will be collected during the spring and then travel to Inner Mongolia’s troubled regions to help pacify global warming, and prevent global erosion. Every tree sapling costs 10 rmb, and these saplings will be planted in 2015, during the initial planting season.
Steps to carry out the activities:
1. Using the MTP logo as the background we made the numbered tickets for the lottery, each ticket selling at 10 rmb. Each sales staff will explain to buyers that by purchasing a tree sapling they will get a lottery ticket (the bag), which can contribute to protecting the environment.
2. The award ranges from first prize to tenth prize, 50 awards in total. The director of the school will choose the winners during the Gala Day party.
