Sep.22.2011

Report of September 22, 2011

Sept 22nd is International CML Day. At Shanghai Roots & Shoots, we planned out own Caring for CML Patients activities.

In the morning, we arranged a patient social activity.

Xu Jianxin, who has been ill since January, 2010, talked about how to get out of a negative mood.

Yang Yuedi has been ill since March, 2005. The way she communicated showed that she had lived a hard life. She talked about how to be optimistic and take a stand against your illness.

Yang Haizhong had been ill for 13-14 years. He talked about how to go with the flow and enjoy every day.

In the afternoon, we welcomed the chief phycological consultant from Shanghai Shikong Phycological Consulting Office for phycological training.

After the activity, all of the patients faces were brimming with satisfied smiles. Only fellow sufferers can really understand each other and communicate most effortlessly. You encourage each other and mutually help one another.  Sharing experiences can help quite a bit. We will continue to plan activities to try and help make this path worthwhile and benefit every one of you.
