EVENT DETAILS:

The annual charity bazaar at the High School Attached to Shanghai Normal University was held on May 2nd, 2012 on the school campus. It started at twelve fifteen and lasted for an hour. All the students and teachers took part in this charity bazaar and everyone had a good time.

Roots and Shoots (R&S)  prepared a large sum of charity bazaar goods including mini plants, water bottles, card stickers, sets of postcards, notebooks, piggy banks, picture albums, etc. An enumerable amount  of these were graciously sponsored by Charity Foundation of Xuhui District and International Paper of Shanghai.

Since there was an abundance of goods; the prices were very reasonable, ranging from 5 RMB to 10 RMB. In addition to the regular selling, we also had a special event. Everyone could draw a lottery at the expense of 4 RMB and the prizes were based on the bazaar goods present. At the beginning of the charity bazaar, many students chose to draw a lottery which quickly gained popularity for R&S. Gradually, more and more people came to R&S shop.

In the end, R&S earned around 400 RMB in this charity bazaar and the money will be donated to various charities in the name of our school. Over 80% of the products were sold and only a few remained after the event. We believe that everyone, including R&S, gained something.
