FDFZ Roots & Shoots Group is a student group of High School Affiliated to Fudan University which dedicates to the protection of environment and charity. Our goal is to promote environmental-friendly lifestyles in school and carry out charity projects. We now have 31 group members, among which 17 active members.

We have our group meeting every Friday. During the meeting, we watch movies, documentaries or speech videos on certain topics, then we will brainstorm based on what we’ve learned and come up of ideas of future projects. We invite international volunteers of Fudan AIESEC to come and give lessons about environment on a regular basis. Sometimes we go on field trips, e.g. bird watching (with FDFZ Bird Watching Group).

We carry out our own projects inside and outside school every year. Projects in recent years are listed below:

“Rebuilding the Green Fields” Charity Sale (second-hand goods sale outside school, supporting the Million Tree Project)
