YES Training – 2011 Fall
Sep.24.2011
On the morning of Sept. 24, twenty-nine volunteers reached the R&S Training Center. There, they were trained the entire day in preparation for their work with the YES project.
First, under the guidance of the R&S staff, volunteers started playing ice-breaker games. The room was quickly filled with laughter as volunteers got to know one another. It was a successful start to the training.
Then, Kanet, one of the volunteers, gave an inspirational speech to introduce the “volunteering spirit” to the volunteers. This speech succeeded in making all the volunteers more passionate about the YES Project.
After a free lunch, volunteers played an extremely creative game called “5 Elements”. The game reflects how the medium levels of a project connect the higher levels with the lower and get the job done efficiently.
Finally, put their minds together to brainstorm the theme “Animals, Nature, and Humans”, and thought up new activities filled with creativity and practicality.
The training program ended in the evening. Volunteers are expected to use this training to spread these future environmental protection concepts to more and more children.
