Organic Garden丨Bottles with Life

Nov 22 is the “light snow day” of Chinese lunar calendar when traditionally Chinese people would make dried dished, salted bacon or sticky-rice doughs to celebrate the beginning of winter. This year Shanghai Roots & Shoots Organic Garden Salon taught people how to make eco-bottles on this special day.

After learning about all the materials needed to make the eco-bottles, the participants started to build up the micro living system for the tiny tropic fish they were given. Step by step, they made comfortable new homes for the fish.

• Challenges for the children:

For the children who participated, it was a little challenging to pour water into the bottles so they asked the adults for help.

Ecological knowledge and “living” hopes are blossoming within these tiny eco-bottles. Let the winter start with some green magic!
