KidStrong丨A Clearer World for Migrant Children

On putting on the new glasses, the migrant children all exclaimed “Wow! So clear! ” It is conceivable that good eyesight has a really important influence on the quality of life. On November 16th and 17th, KidStrong delivered prescription eyeglasses to migrant children who needed vision correction. The oculists helped each student adjust their eyeglasses in order that the students could wear them comfortably.
Conducting visual checks for migrant children is a priority for autumn semester as ever. This year, eye screenings were given in advance to 2,246 third to fifth graders of 5 partner schools. 665 students among them received professional computer optometry and precise optic examination by oculists from Shanghai Ren’Ai Hospital, our long-term sponsor. As a consequence, 495 students got prescription eyeglasses. Of these, nearly one-third students received green lenses glasses which were chosen for children with mild myopia to fight fatigue.
