Shanghai Disney Resort Ambassador and Disney VoluntEARS Teach Earth Day Values

April 22, 2015, Shanghai – To coincide with Earth Day on April 22, Shanghai Disney Resort VoluntEARS led a series of “FUN” environmental themed classes at Gonglu Primary School in Pudong District, Shanghai. With support from local non-government organization Shanghai Roots & Shoots, over 400 local students learned a variety of environmental related skills including waste separation and recycling. These classes and hands-on experiments demonstrated the importance of environmental protection.

Cast Members at Shanghai Disney Resort participated in this event to celebrate Earth Month, a global initiative to encourage people to make decisions that have a positive impact on the environment we all share. The inaugural environmental program is one of the key initiatives of Earth Month at Shanghai Disney Resort and will become part of the resort’s regular VoluntEARS program.
