Oragnic Farm Workshop for Balcony Garden Families

It was a rare cool day on July 5 when 78 participants from Shengpu Community visited the BioFarm to learn more about organic gardening.
Avun and Peirong received the Balcony Garden families on arrival with open arms into their vibrant organic farm: hungry and friendly baby goats, persimmon plants teeming with cup moths, fragrant herbs, and various stylish bug traps.
After enjoying a tasty and beautifully simple organic lunch, kids ran to feed the goats and rabbits, and parents could take a rest while watching the documentary Food Inc and enjoying a cup of mint tea.
Two activities – “Lifecycle of Milk” and “Veggie Collage” inspired kids to rethink and appreciate food. The imaginative ideas of the kids made everybody have tons of fun.
Picking a box of tomatoes sparked excitement among the parents!
