Green Actions Improve Our Lives

Shanghai Roots & Shoots hosted a planting workshop for 15 Applied Materials employees on May 22^th 2013.

Special gifts of herb seedlings were given to every participant by Shanghai Roots & Shoots. The herbs included peppermint, thyme, chamomile, oregano and five other herbs that smell nice and help get rid of odors.  Some of these herbs can be used as seasonings, spices or be made into essential oils, and some even have medicinal value.

The workshop also included a lecture about basic knowledge of herbs. During the herb matching game, the participants enthusiastically tried to match up the pictures of the herbs with their names to win prizes.

We hope that green actions will improve the lives of everyone, and let us all get closer to the nature.
