Our Happy Planet Needs you!

More and more migrants are moving into Shanghai with their children every year, yet more than often, these migrant workers are too busy to spend time with their children in the new city. As a result, growing number of migrant children are left without being taken care of, and they’re struggling to fit into the new city.

Ever since 2006, the KidStrong Project of the Shanghai Roots & Shoots has been providing these migrant children with a holistic support mostly centered around health care, nutrition support and education.

On September 13, 2015, the KidStrong Project will organize a “Planet Protection Plan” sports day to invite 24 migrant children and 16 volunteers for a fun, sportive afternoon. In this event, everyone will take on the role of a “Green Defender” to help the “Green Superman” protect his Happy Planet, which has been severely polluted by the “Black Monster”.

If you are patient with children, good at sports, or simply feel like enjoying a fun, sportive afternoon with children, you are welcome to join us in our volunteer salon!

The venue for this “planet protection plan” event will be Jinqiao Arena, a modern indoor sports facility located in Jinqiao.
