Shanghai R&S Communication And Training Workshop In Xi’an

On March 30, 2014, the communication and training workshop in Xi’an, one of the environmental education activities of Shanghai R&S, was held in the Chang’an campus of Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications. Attendees were from Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an Polytechnic University, Modern College of Northwest University, Architecture University of Shaanxi Province. This activity was co-organized by Shanghai R&S and the Green Life Association of Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications.

The workshop started at 9:00 am. After a brief welcome speech, two trainers from Shanghai R&S gave wonderful sample lessons in the form of experiments, quizzes and interactive games, delivering the contents of environmental education lessons while demonstrating teaching skills. The participants came to understand more about environmental education, which was very helpful.

The workshop broke for lunch at the Ethnic Restaurant of the Rising Sun School. In a happy and harmonious atmosphere, the participants exchanged their experience and thoughts on environmental education activities, learned pedagogical methods from each other and discussed the issues they had encountered while teaching.

After lunch, representatives of every university gave presentations to exhibit the characteristics of their communities. Then they shared ideas on growing their school clubs.

During the tea break, school clubs had a good time communicating with their peers.

Last came the ceremony in which Shanghai R&S awarded certificates for school clubs and took group photos. With that the meeting came to a successful conclusion.

This communication and training workshop not only gave the volunteers in Xi’an an opportunity to learn, but also provided a good platform to communicate and share ideas amongst environmental clubs of universities in Xi’an. The workshop was highly recommended by every university participant.
