Organic Garden丨Spring Harvest & Re-planting Event
May.16.2016
Since the first planting event in early in March, students from Sanquan Road Elementary School have taken good care of the crops in their organic garden so that the crops are ready for harvest. On May 3rd, Around 10 volunteer employees from Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd came to the school to help students to harvest the organic vegetables planted by themselves.
After the harvest, volunteers from Cummings continued to lead the students to do weeding, cultivating, and to spread the organic soil to get ready for re-planting. All four groups planted capsella and radish.
During the event, both student and volunteers said that they had not only enjoyed the fun planting process but also learned the importance of organic planting to the environment. All of them were excited to taste the organic vegetables planted by themselves.
