The Rhythm of World Health Day
Apr.8.2015
April 8, 2015, Shanghai – April 7th is World Health Day. KidStrong used this day as an opportunity to design an interesting activity for KidStrong students. On the afternoon of April 8th, KidStrong volunteers took twenty 3rd year students from Maqiao Migrant School in Minhang district to KT football club for the competition. KT football was created by former China’s women football team’s player Liu Lihao—the game is played in a 30 square meter football field where two or four people at a time compete against each other as two teams.
The students were split into two teams, every time a team sent one member to enter the competition, there would be a winner. The competition was quite unusual: after ten games, the score was tied 5 to 5, so each team chose two team members to advance into the finals. The competition had reached its climax. Every game was only three minutes long, but it was nerve-wracking and tense. The students were all extremely excited, and after the game, they all fell in love with football and were hoping anxiously that the next game day would arrive a little quicker.
