MTP | Trip Review 2019 Spring

May.8.2019

The Million Tree Project, which began in 2007, aims to raise community awareness of the Earth’s precious environment while focusing on steps individuals can take to lessen their negative impact on the natural world.

By planting trees in Inner Mongolia, the project is designed to improve both ecological and humanitarian conditions there. The project gives individuals and organizations an opportunity to fight climate change by planting oxygen-producing trees.

In this April, 150 volunteers from six schools and 15 corporates joined the Inner Mongolia planting trip and planted nearly 1700 trees. In addition to tree planting, the volunteers visited the desert, learning about the environmental changes in this area, and they also participated in tree pruning in the 2010 poplar forest site. When sharing the thoughts at the end of the trip, many volunteers said that they want to do more and let people around them to get involved.
