2013 YES Mentor Party in Shanghai Zoo

The celebration of YES volunteer mentors for the first semester of 2013 was successfully held at Shanghai Zoo on June 11^th 2013. Nineteen volunteers from various schools joined the party.

YES Program was nine years old. As the program grew bigger, it had involved over fifty schools located in five cities in China. A total of more than 1000 people had benefited from the effort. The program was focused on education for sustainable development. The quality of teaching had constantly improved through training and developing new materials for the curriculum. The celebration provided the volunteer mentors with a platform to communicate and share their experience. They discussed their learnings as well as the challenges. The director of YES program, Rebecca gave a certificate to every volunteer to recognize and encourage their efforts.

At the end of the celebration, Shanghai Roots & Shoots rewarded the volunteer mentors by inviting them on a night tour at the Zoo!
